Significant numbers of our students are still choosing family medicine as a career, Table 2 says that in 2002 Indiana graduated the highest total number of students from any senior class who entered family medicine (45),

Despite the recent national downturn in interest, Indiana ranked 28 out of 124 schools in average of three years of percentage (15%) of students choosing family medicine for their residency training.

Another interesting tidbit, Indiana has the highest percentage of students choosing in-state residencies in Family Medicine (77.8%)
