Vertical Mentoring
This program promotes communication early in the medical school curriculum. The vertical mentoring program allows students from all levels of education and faculty an opportunity to make professional acquaintances and develop relationships to assist students throughout medical school. Seven Family Medicine faculty participate in these mentoring sessions four times per school year.

Peer Assessment Program
IU School of Medicine coordinates a peer assessment program allowing students to “self-reflect on how well he/she is progressing towards the goal of becoming a professional physician, become more aware of how peers are progressing towards the goal of becoming a professional physician, and gain experience in providing constructive feedback to peers.
