Carolyn Muegge, M.S., M.P.H.

Carolyn Muegge is the project manager (PM) for the Department of Family Medicine’s “Expansion of the Current Research Infrastructure” HRSA grant. As PM, Carolyn works closely with Deborah I. Allen, MD, project director; Robert M. Saywell Jr, Ph.D, M.P.H., director of Project Evaluation; Kathleen Zoppi, PhD., director of Project Communication Education; and Joyce A. Smidley, MS, P.M.C., project administrator, to develop a research network with practicing family medicine physicians in the State of Indiana.

Carolyn’s primary responsibility is to develop the research network by recruiting physician membership and developing statewide research projects including a new Indiana initiative to profile ambulatory care visits made to family physicians offices in Indiana. The statewide network will then be integrated into a larger regional network that includes the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Kentucky.

As PM for the Indiana Family Practice Research Network (INET), Carolyn has worked with Departmental faculty to produce 13 abstracts, reports, and manuscripts during the past 2 years. Additionally, she is the elected Secretary to the Indiana public Health Association Board of Directors.
