Komal Kochhar, M.B.B.S., M.H.A.

Komal Kochhar is a Project Manager at the Bowen Research Center and Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Kochhar manages and directs projects for various clients, including the Indiana State Department of Health, Marion County Health Department and Indiana Minority Health Coalition.

Dr. Kochhar is a medical graduate of the University of Delhi. In 2001, she received a certificate in Health Systems Management from Indiana University. In May 2003, she graduated with a Master's degree in Health Administration from Indiana University. Dr. Kochhar’s professional affiliations include the Delhi Medical Association, Indian Medical Association, American College of Healthcare Executives and the North American Primary Care Research Group.

Prior to joining the Department of Family Medicine, she was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Bowen Research Center, where she was involved with evaluation and academic research pertaining to public health issues. Having a clinical background and the administrative skills from MHA, she hopes to expand her professional horizon within the department.

Dr. Kochhar works closely with the Department faculty and has prepared several reports, abstracts, and manuscripts that have been presented at various National Conferences. In her free time she loves to travel, hike, bike, and cook!!
