Jennifer Custer
Jennifer L. Custer, BA, is Program Manager, Underserved Manager and International Health for the department. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from DePauw University and participated in a Mediterranean studies program in Greece, Turkey and Egypt. Upon graduation, Prior to joining the department, Jennifer provided consultation services to US Bureau of Health Professions in the area of clinician recruitment and retention activities for at-risk communities. She did significant work with National Health Service Corps sites, state agencies and association, health care training programs and clinicians and is currently a NHSC Ambassador. Jennifer has served on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Rural Health Association since 2001 and has been co-chair for their Annual Conference since 2002. As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Jennifer spent 3 years working in community development on the northern coast of Honduras and is an advanced Spanish speaker. She has two cats (Griffin and Sabine) and in her free time she enjoys jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, picking at her guitar, and international travel, especially to Latin American countries.
