Anthony N. Akosa, MD, MBA is Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine for the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Akosa received his medical degree from University of Nigeria and completed his residency at the Indiana University Family Medicine Residency. In addition, he received his Masters of Business Administration from the Indiana University Kelley Graduate School of Business in 2002.

Prior to joining the Department of Family Medicine, Dr. Akosa worked as a General Medical Officer at the United States Army Hospital, Wuerzburg, Germany prior to his residency. Dr. Akosa sees patients through IUMG Primary Care. He is also the medical director for ADVANTAGE Health Solutions, an HMO in Indianapolis and serves as course director for the Practice Management Rotation for Family Medicine residents.

Dr. Akosa is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is member of the American Academy of Family Physicians as well as the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Akosa is married and has a son. In his free time, Dr. Akosa enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling, and playing golf.
